EDGAR's free alerts send every filing under a form type - there's no item-level filtering, no ticker-based watchlist (you have to manage CIKs manually), and no daily digest mode. Only Material is item-filtered, ticker-driven, and de-duplicated.

No. We never ask for brokerage credentials, account numbers, holdings, or any financial-account access. The only data we need is your email address and your list of tickers. That's it.

In addition, a full refund is available at any time if a working, automated version of Only Material is not delivered by August 20, 2026 - the founding-member ship-by date. This promise is in writing on every receipt and confirmation page.

When the standard $19/month subscription launches publicly, it can be canceled at any time via the Stripe customer portal. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period; no proration. You retain access until the period ends.
If you have any issue with a charge or with the service, email hello@onlymaterial.io first. We respond within 48 hours and aim to resolve disputes informally before any chargeback. If we cannot reach resolution, you may pursue a dispute through your card issuer; we cooperate fully with all dispute processes.

Founding-member access is associated with the email address used at signup. It is not transferable to another email address or person without prior written approval from Only Material.
Only Material is operated from the United States. Service is available worldwide where lawful. Customers are responsible for compliance with their local jurisdiction's regulations regarding subscription to a US-based digital information service.
Only Material distributes publicly available US SEC filing data only. Nothing transmitted constitutes a controlled good or service under US export regulations to the best of our knowledge. We do not provide investment advice and we are not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, or financial planner.
We collect only what is required to deliver the service: your email address, the tickers and 8-K item types you choose to receive, your delivery time preference, and payment receipt information from Stripe. We do not access your brokerage account or any financial-account credentials - we have no facility to do so. SEC filings we deliver are public records; our internal log of which filings were sent to which subscriber is retained for service reliability and may be deleted on request.
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure anonymized site traffic and visitor patterns. This data is separate from subscription data and does not include personal information about subscribers. Analytics cookies fire only after you click "Accept" in the cookie banner; you can change your choice at any time via cookie preferences. We do not sell or share customer data with third parties.
